DISASTER RECOVERY

Disaster recovery can be considered one of the most crucial elements of an IT infrastructure and one that an organisation hopes it never has to use.

Unavoidable downtime tends to occur no matter what precautions are put into place and has the potential to cause losses that are irreversible. From fires, power cuts and even human error, these are all factors that can cause real damage on data. By implementing a disaster recovery solution all these problems can be overcome and data can be completely safe and secure.

CNT can help ensure that your business is flexible enough to deal with any IT based disaster, even loss of premises.

We will always undertake a full analysis of a customer’s existing infrastructure to ensure that the virtual server(s) are sized correctly. This will be performed over a 30 day period by software installed on either an existing server or a loan server.

The software discovers all the servers on the network and then during the 30 day period collects statistical data. After the 30 days CNT collect the data and then produce a report which details:

  • The required specification of each Virtual Server;
  • Which servers are not recommended to be Virtualised;
  • The energy savings from Virtualisation;
  • Information on which servers are currently under specified.

The report serves two purposes, one it provides the required information for the DR service, the added bonus is that if you were considering Virtualisation of the existing servers it provides you with a business case for doing this.

We are able to offer a fully comprehensive solution which can replicate your data to CNT’s disaster recovery facility at an interval of anything up every 6 minutes, different replication options can be deployed.

Major Failures

In the event of a major failure you can be rest assured that both your systems configuration and data is both secure and up to date. During the time your main systems are not accessible CNT will provide you with access to the hosted environment.
