PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Working to best practice principles and policies.
We use the PRINCE2 project management methodology and we are also QMS accredited. This ensures we always work to best practice principles and policies providing clients with a professional and reliable service.
Information and Communications Technology (ICT) projects are made up of multiple technologies which need to be integrated. It is also common to have a number of suppliers, and bringing all of these together into a cohesive plan is essential to the smooth running of the project. From the beginning, a project manager is appointed to ensure this happens.
The most important element of project management is communication. Without it, nothing happens. The appointed project manager provides this communication giving you regular updates on progress. The project manager also takes control of third party suppliers, easing the burden on your internal resources.
The following is the standard format we work to, adopting all the elements of the PRINCE2 methodology:
- Initiation
- Planning
- Execution
- Monitoring
- Completion
One of the greatest testaments to our project management skills is the numerous office relocation projects that we have completed. On Friday afternoon at 5pm, staff leave the old building and return to a fully working ICT environment on Monday morning at 9am, with new hardware, systems and applications installed and ready to use.
